Genesis 2:24 - Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Matthew 19:5 - For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

SOME STUFF I’VE LEARNED …

* Differences don’t need to divide. It’s your choice to fight over them or celebrate them.

* If you expect your mate to meet all of your needs - you'll be bitterly disappointed.

* Little stuff becomes big stuff without communication and forgiveness.

* Get help when you need it.

* Take time to give love. Without time and generosity, you won’t have love.

1. You’ve Got To – Leave

Isaiah 43:18-19 - Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?

2. You’ve Got To - Cleave 

Ephesians 5:22 - Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 

Ephesians 5:25 - Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. 

3. You’ve Got To - Weave 

2 Corinthians 6:14 - Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 

Ecclesiastes 4:12 - A threefold cord is not quickly broken.
