Love Brings Joy

1 John 1:4 - These things we write to you that your joy may be full.

 

1. This Family Has A Good Father

1 John 3:1 - Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

2. This Family Has A Destiny

1 John 3:2 - Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. [3] And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

1 John 3:8 - He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

3. This Family Has Love

1 John 3:14 - If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.

- Love Means Getting Along

1 John 3:15 - Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.

- Love Means Sacrifice

1 John 3:16 - This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters

- Love Means Action

1 John 3:17 - But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

1 John 3:18 - My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
