“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” - Hebrews 11:1

Faith is God-given CONVICTION based on a VISION that produces ACTION.

“By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.” – Hebrews 11:4

BACKGROUND

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” - Genesis 2:17

“Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.” – Genesis 3:7

“But without faith it is impossible to please [God] Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” – Hebrews 11:6

1. Faith Centers On God
