1. Faith In God Gives Us Power
• ADMIT YOU NEED GOD’S POWER
“My [the Lord’s] grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9
• LINE UP WITH GOD’S PURPOSES
I [Jesus] am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. - John 15:5
• PRAY FOR POWER
And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. - Acts 4:31 _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
2. Faith In God Gives Us Love
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. - 1 John 4:18
We love because he first loved us. - 1 John 4:19
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. - 1 John 4:20
