GIVING IS LIVING

Serve To Change – Part 2

Matthew 20:28 - Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

John 13:15 - For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you … [17] If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

1. Serving Gives Your Life Purpose 

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. 

2. Serving Lifts Your Spirit 

Romans 12:11 - Don’t hesitate to be enthusiastic—be on fire in the Spirit as you serve the Lord! 

Ephesians 6:7 - Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people. 

3. Serving Others Is How We Serve God 

Colossians 3:23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, [24] since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving 

Matthew 25:40 - The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 

4. Serving Gives Your Life Value 

Matthew 23:11 - The greatest among you must be a servant. 

1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 

5. Serving Brings Eternal Rewards 

John 12:26 - Jesus said, “My Father will honor the one who serves me.” 

Matthew 25:21 - He says, “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’”
