Philippians 4:5 - Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

GENTLENESS RESPONDS INSTEAD OF REACTS

1.Gentleness Restores Your Soul  

Matthew 11:29 - Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

2.Gentleness Restores Others

Galatians 6:1 -  My friends, you are spiritual. So if someone is trapped in sin, you should gently lead that person back to the right path. But watch out, and don’t be tempted yourself. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 4:21 - What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

3. Gentleness Speaks Life

Titus 3:2 - Remind them … to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.

Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. (ESV)

Proverbs 15:4 - A gentle tongue is a tree of life,but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. (ESV)

4.Gentleness Is God’s Wisdom

James 3:17  - But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
