WHAT JESUS TEACHES US FROM THE CROSS

 

1. Give Forgiveness

 

Luke 23:34 - Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.

 

2. Stay Connected To Family

 

John 19:26 - When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” [27] Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

 

1 Peter 3:8 - You should be like one big happy family, full of sympathy toward each other, loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds. [TLB] 

 

3. Reach For One More Soul

 

Luke 23:42 - Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” [43] And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

 

4. Always Bring Hope

 

Matthew 27:46 - Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

7 All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, [8] “He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!”
