YOU CAN BEGIN AGAIN
A Fresh Start
Scott Young.com – Pastor of HOPE
Philippians 3:13 - One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, [14] I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
HOW TO BEGIN AGAIN IN THIS NEW YEAR
1. Believe that God is Good
Luke 15:17 - When he came to his senses, he said, “How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!”
Psalm 136:1 - Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
2. Know That God Sees You As His Child
Luke 15:18 - I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. * Make me like one of your hired servants.”’
3. Use Your Failure As Fertilizer
Luke 15:20 - “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. [21] And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
Psalm 119:71 - My troubles turned out all for the best— they forced me to learn from your textbook. (MSG)
4. Begin Again With God’s Help
1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

A GOOD ENDING
A Thrill of Hope
Scott Young.com – Pastor of HOPE
Ecclesiastes 7:8 - The end of a thing is better than its beginning;
HOW TO HAVE A GOOD ENDING
1. Wake Up and Live Now
Romans 13:11 - And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
2. De-clutter Negative Baggage
Romans 13:12 - The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
3. Walk In The Light
Romans 13:13 - Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
4. Live In Christ
Romans 13:14 - But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
“Only one life twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last.”

HEARING FROM GOD
1. God Sees More In You Than You See In Yourself
Luke 1:26-28 –[26] The angel Gabriel was sent by God … [27] to a virgin … The virgin’s name was Mary. [28] And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
Luke 1: 29 - Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
2. God’s Plans For You Are Bigger Than Your Plans
Luke 1: 30-33 – [30] But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. [31] You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. [32] He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, [33] and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
3. God’s Power Is Greater Than Your Power
Luke 1:34 - “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
Luke 1:35 - The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
Luke 1:37 - “For with God nothing will be impossible.”
4. All We Have To Do Is Say “Yes”
Luke 1:38 - Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”

THE MOST LIFE-CHANGING ANNOUNCEMENT
A Thrill of Hope
Pastor Peter Young
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.” Isaiah 9:2
God’s GRAND Plan…
1. God’s announcement brings NEW HOPE
Genesis 3:15 (NKJV) – “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”
2. God’s involvement gets PERSONAL
Luke 1:28…31 (NKJV) – [28] And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” …[31] “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.”
Matthew 1:20 - But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
3. God’s communication touches EVERYONE
Luke 2:10-11 – (NKJV) [10] Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. [11] “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
4. God’s commitment meets ALL our Needs
Isaiah 9:6 – (NKJV) For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
5. God’s invitation is STILL AVAILABLE and CHANGES EVERYTHING
Revelation 3:20 (NKJV) - “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
2 Cor. 5:17 (NKJV) - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Generosity – Part 4
Scott Young.com – Pastor of HOPE
1. See The Needs Around You
Mark 6:34-37 (NIV) - [34] When Jesus … saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them … so he began teaching them many things. [35] By this time it was late in the day, so his disciples came to him. “This is a remote place,” they said, “and it’s already very late. [36] Send the people away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.” [37] But he answered, “You give them something to eat.” They said to him, “That would take more than half a year’s wages!
WHAT KEEPS US FROM SEEING NEEDS
Procrastination – “By this time it was late in the day ...’’
Passing The Buck – “Send the people away!”
Worry – “It would take 8 months of wages!”
2. See What You Have
Mark 6: 38 (NIV) - “How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five—and two fish.”
3. Sow What You Have
Mark 6:41(NIV) - Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all.
4. Expect An Abundant Harvest
Mark 6:42-44 (NIV) - [42] They all ate and were satisfied, [43] and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. [44] The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.

GENEROSITY BRINGS ABUNDANCE
Generosity – Part 3
Scott Young.com – Pastor of HOPE
2 Corinthians 9:6-11 (The Message) - Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving … This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.
GOD HAS MORE FOR YOU
1. We All Live In a Sowing And Reaping World
Galatians 6:7 (NKJV)- Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
2 Corinthians 9:6 (The Message)- Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop.
2. It Takes Discipline to Sow
2 Corinthians 9:7(The Message) - I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.
3. Disciplined Sowing Brings Great Abundance
2 Corinthians 9:10 (The Message) - This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you.
2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (The Message) - He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.
