SEEING YOUR HABITS
Through The Eyes Of A Lion
Scott Young.com – Pastor of HOPE
Colossians 3:9 … You have put off the old self with its HABITS [10] and have put on the new self. This is the new being which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in his own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge of himself.
1 Timothy 4:7 - Take the time and the trouble to keep yourself spiritually fit.
Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
FOUR ESSENTIAL LIFE HABITS
1. The Habit Of Daily Devotions
2 Timothy 3:16 - The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. [17] It is God’s way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone.
Mark 1:35 - Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went to a solitary place, where he prayed.
2. The Habit Of Fellowship
Hebrews 10:25 - Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage each other.
3. The Habit Of Generosity
2 Corinthians 8:7 - Since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
4. The Habit Of Walking With God
John 16:13 - When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, He shall guide you into all truth, for He will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future.

Sorrow To Joy

THE CYCLE OF SORROW TO JOY
1. The Joy Of Entering Jerusalem
Matthew 21:9 - The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” [10] When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”

MOVE TOWARDS JOY

3. Make Room For Prayer

JOYFUL LIVING
Sorrow To Joy
Scott Young.com – Pastor of HOPE
Philippians 1:18 - I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice
Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
THE FOUR ESSENTIALS FOR JOYFUL LIVING
1. Joy Comes From Right Perspectives
Philippians 1:12 - Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.
Philippians 1:13 - As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.
Philippians 1:14 - And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
2. Joy Is Christ-Centered
Philippians 1:18 - But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,
3. Joy Needs Help
Philippians 1:19-20 - Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, [19] for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. [20] I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed.
Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
4. Joy Is Always Looking Forward
Philippians 1:21 - For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 3:13 - Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, [14] I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

JESUS IS COMING AGAIN
* Jesus’ Coming Will Be Visible
Matthew 24:26 - Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. [27] For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
