Happy New Year
Scott Young.com – Pastor of Hope
Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. … [6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

HOW CAN I TELL I’M GROWING?
1. I’m Getting To Serve

Focus – Part 3
Scott Young.com – Pastor of Hope
Acts 20:35 - And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.
BLESSINGS OF GIVING
1. Giving Blesses Others
Philippians 4:14 - Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. [15] … not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.
2. Giving Blesses You
Philippians 4:17 - Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.
Matthew 6:20 - Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
3. Giving Releases God’s Provision
Philippians 4:19 - And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 9:6 - But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. [7] So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. [8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Scott Young.com – Pastor of Hope
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.
1. We Must Confess With Humility

Proverbs 28:13 - If you hide your sins, you will not succeed. But if you confess and reject them, you will receive mercy.
James 5:16 - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
2. We Must Pray With Tenacity
Colossians 4:2 - Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer, being alert and intent in your praying with thanksgiving.
Ephesians 6:18 - Pray in the Spirit at ALL times with ALL kinds of prayers, asking for ALL you need. To do this you must ALWAYS be ready and never give up! ALWAYS pray for ALL God's people.
3. We Must Seek God With Intensity
Hebrews 11:6 - God rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Matthew 6:33 - Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Deuteronomy 4:29 - If you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with. [30] When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. [31] For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you.
4. We Must Repent With Sincerity
2 Timothy 3:1 - You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. [2] For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. [3] They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. [4] They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. [5] They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
Acts 3:19 - Repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
