Psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:13 - Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,
* Long Life, Riches And Honor (Proverbs 3:16)
* A Pleasant And Peaceful Life (Proverbs 3:17)

We Are Blessed When We …
1. Surrender To The Lord
Proverbs 9:10 - “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Proverbs 16:3 - Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]. (AMP)
2. Honor The Lord First
Proverbs 3:9 - Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; [10] So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
3. Help The Poor
Proverbs 19:17 - Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.
4. Are Blessed To Be A Blessing
Proverbs 11:24 - The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller. [25] The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.

SERVE WITH JOY
Serve To Change – Part 4

Psalm 100:2 - Serve the Lord with joy; come before him with singing.
Acts 13:22 - I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.
Acts 13:36 - For when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his fathers.
Psalm 51:12 - Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.
SERVING BRINGS JOY
1. Serve With A Shout
Psalm 100:1 - Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
2. Serve With A Song
Psalm 100:2 - Come before His presence with singing.
Acts 16:25 - About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God as the other prisoners listened.
3. Serve With Gratitude
Psalm 100:4 - Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
4. Serve With A Fresh Start
Psalm 100:5 - For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

Serve To Change – Part 3

Joshua 24:15 – But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.
THREE PRINCIPLES OF SERVING
1. Make Wise Choices
Joshua 24:15 - But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve.
Joshua 24:15 - Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live?
Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. [6] Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
2. Understand The Importance Of Today
Joshua 24:15 - But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve.
Matthew 6:34 - So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.
3. Live For Something Great
Joshua 24:15 - But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 1:8 - This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

GIVING IS LIVING
Serve To Change – Part 2

Matthew 20:28 - Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
John 13:15 - For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you … [17] If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
1. Serving Gives Your Life Purpose
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
2. Serving Lifts Your Spirit
Romans 12:11 - Don’t hesitate to be enthusiastic—be on fire in the Spirit as you serve the Lord!
Ephesians 6:7 - Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.
3. Serving Others Is How We Serve God
Colossians 3:23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, [24] since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving
Matthew 25:40 - The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
4. Serving Gives Your Life Value
Matthew 23:11 - The greatest among you must be a servant.
1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
5. Serving Brings Eternal Rewards
John 12:26 - Jesus said, “My Father will honor the one who serves me.”
Matthew 25:21 - He says, “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’”

Change to Serve – Part 1

John 13:1-17
1Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. 6 Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?” 7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.” 8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” 9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!” 10 Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.” 12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
WHY WE NEED TO SERVE TO CHANGE
1. CHECKS ATTITUDES

We Find Hope In Christ When We …
1. Connect With Community
Revelation 1:9 - I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom …

2. Persevere Through Persecution

3. Worship Through Our Worst Times
Revelation 1:10 - It was the Lord’s Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit.
Revelation 5:12 - Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!
Revelation 19:1 - After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!”
