OUT OF THE SALT SHAKER
Scott Young.com ~ Pastor of Hope
Influence – Week 1
Matthew 5:13 - You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
THE ART OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE
1. We Share People’s Lives
Acts 8:1 - On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.
Acts 8:4 - Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
Acts 17:6 - And when they could not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also.”
2. We Can Add Value To Others
Colossians 4:6 - Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
3. We Can Promote Thirst
Matthew 5:16 - In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
4. We Can Add Flavor
Job 6:6 - Can that which has no taste to it be eaten without salt? Or is there any flavor in the white of an egg?
Psalm 34:8 - Taste and see that the Lord is good! How blessed is the person who trusts in him!

3. Open Your Hands To Pray
1 Timothy 2:8 - Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.
Luke 19:40 - But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”
